Iva is an educator, a researcher, and a designer whose work emphasizes linguistic and visual development for children and teens. Her current work focuses on young children’s language development via digital technology and interactive media particularly centered on the virtual literacy paradigm. This line of research is immensely important because it informs present-day and future curriculum development in PreK-12 programs. Furthermore, she hopes to investigate how imagery and audio are cognitively processed in various digital media platforms, and how this affects young children’s language attainment in a multilingual society.
