Working remote from both the United States (Minnesota) and Europe (Amsterdam). I enjoy facilitating collaboration between design and engineering roles, though my goal is for the gap between them to become less and less distinct. In the end, we're all product and UX designers. I work to establish an environment that challenges, yet respects, design and where transparency and collaboration is an inherent part of the process. Working quickly, collaboration, iterating, and communicating clearly to internal stakeholders and the community is what I focus on to make well-designed products. Among other things, I lead the problem solving and design process through user research, user testing, creating prototypes, work with copywriters to write functional and conditional copy, and make sure what we build works across all locales and with product requirements. ----- I have worked with Mozilla, Target, Ericsson, Thomson Reuters, General Mills, 3M, Microsoft, Hasbro, NBC, SyFy Channel, Telemundo, Jet Blue, and more either directly or through various creative agencies such as HUGE in NYC. I've also work with various startup companies - most recently Layar (augmented reality browser) and Wander (with 2012s TechStars class).
