Activist and aspiring legal scholar working for a more equitable world. My background growing up queer and Hispanic in an incredibly conservative area informs my passion for expanding voting access, immigration reform, environmental sustainability, and LGBTQ+ advocacy. This past summer, I worked at Kobre & Kim LLP, where as a Legal Analyst Intern, I engaged with substantive legal research under attorney supervision, and gained firsthand experience working within case teams on complex multi-jurisdictional financial litigation. Aside from firm work products, I was able to engage with pro-bono asylum clients, as well as research into LGBTQ+ rights and domestic violence in the Republic of Guinea—leveraging the passion for progressive policy and advocacy I've gained through past experiences at DLA Piper, Florida Rising, and People Power for Florida. I'm currently a Senior at Yale University, majoring in Political Science and history on a pre-law track. This year, I will focus on coursework further exploring Constitutional Law, with a focus on the First Amendment and Comparative Constitutionalism. I have recently finished writing my undergraduate thesis—an investigation into jurisdiction-counting as a means for legal analysis in the fundamental rights jurisprudence of the U.S. Supreme Court and the European Court of Human Rights.
