After completing a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace engineering, I am now finishing a Master’s degree in spacecraft instrumentation at Ryerson University. Prior to shaping my immense passion for space exploration into this new career, I have also worked in business development and management for over 6 years, including 3 years in engineering and technology environments. I am a go-getter with a can-do attitude, exhibiting good business acumen along with undeniable passion for science and technology. For the last 7 years I have always carved time out of my extremely busy engineering school schedule to be part of the space industry, through organizations like the Canadian Space Commerce Association (CSCA) and Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS), countless conferences like the 2016 Canadian Space Policy Symposium, SEDS Canada's Ascension since 2016, CSA's 2019 Investment Space, and the Small Satellite Conference since 2019, and always staying up to date with the industry's developments from the perspectives of business, policy, and technology. Through my graduate studies, I have built solid hands-on experience around our laboratory's spacecraft instrumentation testing and calibration facility, including designing and automating some of its systems and functions. This involved using equipment like robotic manipulators, scientific instruments and cameras, computer-controlled devices, fiber-optics and lasers, and optical components on a regular basis, and I eventually became a bit of a resource person for some of our industry and academic collaborators. Working at the intersection of these technologies is what I love, and I definitely see myself delving further into the product/system design aspect of it. As I work on completing my thesis, I am now seeking a full-time career opportunity in the fields of space exploration, robotics, and optics-photonics.
