
Felipe is currently the Director of Public Policy and Innovation at Instituto Mirã, a public policy and innovation think tank focused on converting cutting-edge ideas into sustainable, legally sound, and regulatory-compliant projects. His expertise lies in syncing the rhythm of institutional innovation with rapid technological, economic, and social changes. Felipe’s career is marked by significant achievements in both the public and private sectors. As the Associate Director of Government Affairs at Binance, he played a crucial role in the approval of Brazil's leading cryptocurrency legislation. His tenure at Uber as the Public Policy Manager and Sustainability Policy Lead for Latin America supported the creation of social protection, safety and green mobility policies for the region. In addition to his private sector experience, Felipe served across different levels of government, including being the Director of the School of Innovation and Public Policy (EIPP), advisor at the Secretariat for Strategic Affairs of the Brazilian Presidency coordinating a public sector reform agenda, in addition to passages by the Federal Senate, local government projects and international organizations such as the IDB and the OAS. In 2018, Felipe was elected substitute member of Brazil's Lower House by the state of Pernambuco, in addition to being a co-founder and leader of the national political movement Acredito. Felipe's trajectory in academia includes teaching public policy and researching technology regulation at the Getulio Vargas Foundation and being the president of the Brazil Conference at Harvard & MIT. Felipe is currently a PhD candidate in Political Science at the University of São Paulo, focusing on Digital Institutions and Technology Regulation, and holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Harvard University.
