I work where the Venn Diagram of Hardware, Software, and community meet. I'm particularly interested in peer collaboration, and Open Source projects as accelerant for growth. Nerd Herder. Panic Manager. I started from the bottom; Linux drivers, firmware, embedded programming. Now I'm here; CTO, Department Development, and (re)building Engineering teams. From NeatDesk through MakerWare, the products I have worked on have ended up in magazines, TV shows, and stores around the world. Even a few in museums. They run on thousands of laptops and in workshops every day, competently and quietly doing their job of making life easier. Specialties: Project Management, Nerd Herding, Panic Management, Start-ups. Leading teams of domain experts, and empowering them to do amazing things.
