With over 7 years of exposure in Crypto/Decentralised Finance markets, I have managed to garner vision and perspective towards the industry. Here is how my career path looks: 2014 -> Hear about Bitcoin for the first time during a cyber security course and decide to instead pursue my hobbies of 3D puzzles and Swimming. 2016 -> Watch my and my families life change because of being early adopters of crypto and decide to have a career in it. 2018 -> Hear the term "product management" for the first time and after experimenting in all sorts of internships such as Asset management/marketing/design/development, decide that product management is the one. (The last decision was between asset management and product management haha) 2021 -> Launch Battle Astra. A decentralised infrastructure for the new creator economy. Garnered investor commitments of 2M USD at a 13 - 16M valuation for different rounds based on a future token agreement. 2022 -> Closed Battle Astra and began returning investor money to keep the goodwill. Took up a bunch of consulting freelance gigs for the same. 2023 first half -> Competed returning the investor's principal. Lived for 3 months in Indonesia while consulting startups on web3, token economics and user adoption for crypto launchpads/CEX/DEX/Futures traders. In Indonesia, I was introduced to Freediving through which I instantly lived my swimming days. 2023 Second half -> Got my first office job at VAI (Crypto focussed development company). After a lot of mindset shifts and learning, fell in love with the office life. 2024 First Half -> Broke 3 Freediving national records of India. Learnt a lot on the personal and professional level through my job at VAI. If someone were to ask me what/why I love the office life: 1) Working with like minded, ambitious people 2) Receiving guidance and mentoring on how to grow on personal and professional fronts 3) Working with Visionary CEOs to bring their visions to life while also gaining perspective 4) Learning how to work with teams, egos, different personalities and different cultures (BIG ONE)
