Brennan Blazer Bird is an ecological educator, designer, natural builder, water harvester & appropriate techie who has led a diverse array of artistic and ecological projects around the world. He is the founder of the Peace On Earthbench Movement (POEM), an international movement that inspires youth to transform plastic waste into an artistic community-gathering place (www.earthbench.org). He is currently developing SolutionCraft - a venture that specializes in ecological building, design, and education with a focus on making simple ecological solutions more accessible. Brennan teaches workshops on composting, zero waste, solar cooking, natural building, water harvesting, appropriate technology, and permaculture / ecological design. Currently Brennan lives at an ecological homestead in Oakland, CA and is working on projects ranging from a chicken coop at a low-income school in West Oakland built from earthen materials and repurposed trash to an entire permaculture renovation and tiny home build in a Berkeley backyard. He is also developing water harvesting curriculum in Solano County as part of a green workforce development.
