Recently I've built an online system to aid musicians with the beginning of the online portion of their careers. Building this system required me to learn many relevant digital skills: audio editing, image creation, web design, coding, marketing practices and more. The system includes a website (howmbase.com), a podcast (hang out with musicians podcast), and a community (howm Discord group). Each of these items play a function in aiding musicians. The website is a simple way to discover how to best support musicians, as well as a way to connect the musicians' different networks of fans. The podcast allows listeners the chance to feel comfortable with a musician, decide to become a supporter and be pointed in the direction of the website. And finally the community is where we all learn from and encourage each other. Music holds importance for me. I value those who create it. Hopefully all this can make things better for the musicians I care about, as well was for those who support them.
