Innovator, Operator & Investor

I'm a serial entrepreneur with experience advancing preclinical through clinical-stage biotechs across CNS, oncology, & immunometabolism leveraging novel wet- and dry-lab platforms. I have 25+ years of experience in healthcare. I'm currently CEO/Director of Willow, a biotech advancing next-generation immunometabolic therapies and companion diagnostics. Willow was founded by world-renowned Stanford faculty and is backed by multiple Nobel Laureates, granted patents and landmark publications in Science, Nature, PNAS, and Science Translational Medicine. Before Willow, I was co-founder & CEO of a biotech developing first-in-class therapeutics targeting adipose tissue. We achieved preclinical proof of concept in our proprietary ex vivo human tissue platform. I was previously co-founder & corp dev lead at 4M Therapeutics, a clinic-ready biotech built on MIT/Harvard IP that is developing therapeutics for bipolar disorder and AD. My research helped us set our lead program & laid the foundation for our core composition of matter IP. I advise and invest in companies including NovoCodex (Chinese biotech with 2 Ph3 ADCs submitting NDAs in US & planning HKEX IPO), SonALAsense (oncology drug-device combo with Ph2 efficacy recently awarded $46M grant from ARPA-H) and Bioneex (AI-driven biotech marketplace used by top 10 pharma & leading VCs). Past exits include adaptive learning platform Firecracker (acquired by Wolters Kluwer) and online social network for patients & caregivers Firefly Health. I ran a global health philanthropy serving 100K+ patients annually in developing countries and was an Administrative Resident & Six Sigma Greenbelt at NY-Presbyterian Hospital. I have a biology degree from Harvard, where I was Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Health Policy Review, teaching assistant to Don Berwick (CMS administrator under Obama) & lab tech in a Harvard Medical School lab studying neonatal hypoxia/ischemia. Before college, I interned in the physical therapy department at Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital and played professional soccer. I have trained with both the Chinese Taipei National Team (AFC Asian Cup prep) and Chinese Olympic Team hopefuls.
