I’ve spent my career at the intersection of technology, entrepreneurship, and venture investing: advising, founding, running, and backing startups from my base in NYC, Hong Kong, Singapore, Palo Alto, and now Nashville.I started out in the mid-90s as a tech lawyer during the first wave of the Internet, working with pioneers like AltaVista, Yahoo, Salesforce, and DoubleClick. After Google acquired DoubleClick, I co-founded a financial news business for the Thomson family, and when we acquired Reuters and became ThomsonReuters, I was appointed Publisher of Reuters News. In 2012, I returned to my true passion: early-stage tech. After leadership roles at Guidespark (acquired by Tivian) and BrightTalk (acquired by TechTarget), I co-founded GrowthX to reimagine venture investing with a simple, but vital mission: help B2B founders in rising cities turn sales challenges into scalable revenue (and identify compelling investment opportunities in the process). Outside of work, I’m a family guy and an endurance runner. Long runs are my moving meditation, where I process the week behind me, map the one ahead, and count more blessings than miles.
