Founder and CEO at Chamber of Progress
Adam's Interview/Op-Ed Archive: https://authory.com/AdamKovacevich Adam Kovacevich is Founder and CEO of the Chamber of Progress, a new center-left tech industry policy coalition promoting technology’s progressive future. Adam is an advocate for technology and innovation, and helps usher in the future by working through the concerns of the present. He is an expert in helping lead technology companies through today’s challenging political environment, and has 20+ years of experience in public policy, communications and public affairs strategy, primarily in Washington and in the technology industry. The Wall Street Journal said Kovacevich "helped build [Google’s] influence operation into one of the largest in the nation’s capital" and was “"a central player in Google’s efforts to shape perceptions and rules in ways that have been favorable to the business of the search and advertising giant." Kovacevich is currently a leader at Lime, the world's largest provider of shared bikes and scooters. As leader of the company's government and public affairs team spanning North America and Asia Pacific, he works with cities to legalize scooters, secure competitive permits, and shape regulations -- to make micromobility more available to city residents around the world. Under his leadership, his team has launched 45+ new cities and secured permission for 50,000 more Lime scooters on city streets, expanding the company's market presence. Kovacevich, who was Google’s seventh DC hire, ran Google’s successful advocacy campaign to close its 2011-2013 FTC antitrust investigation. His 12-year Google career spanned the company’s PR, legal, and public policy teams and drew on his skills as a communicator, strategist, and advocate. ** NOTE: I only accept LinkedIn requests from people I know in real life.
