Arbitrum’s ecosystem is undergoing tremendous growth with hundreds of projects and dApps on Arbitrum One today. Over 100 different teams have used Offchain Labs technology to build their own Arbitrum chains. Major players in the space, Robinhood, BlackRock, Ethena Labs, Securitize, Aave, and Apechain are all using the Arbitrum stack.

The Role

We are seeking a Head of Finance to serve as a key strategic architect of Offchain Labs’ financial future. In this role, you will act as a vital partner to the executive team to drive capital strategy and long-term financial planning. Getting into the details, you will provide a deep assessment of the status quo and an execution plan on how to improve.
This leader will institutionalize our financial infrastructure, and will provide the sophisticated clarity required to navigate the complexities of a scaling global ecosystem. You are a visionary who is equally comfortable in the boardroom and the details, capable of transforming financial data into a competitive advantage.

What you'll do:

Strategic Financial Leadership: Architect the long-term financial roadmap for Offchain Labs, ensuring our fiscal strategy aligns with ambitious growth targets and ecosystem evolution.
Capital & Treasury Stewardship: Lead complex treasury management and capital allocation strategies, optimizing liquidity and risk in a high-growth, digital-asset-centric environment.
Institutionalize Governance: Establish enterprise-level standards for financial reporting, audit readiness, and internal controls, transforming the finance function into a pillar of institutional credibility.
Executive Partnership: Serve as a core advisor to the executive team, providing data-driven insights and financial modeling that drive high-stakes decision-making and business model optimization.
Organizational Scaling: Design and implement a scalable financial tech stack and data infrastructure that automates routine reconciliations and provides real-time visibility into global performance.
Cross-Functional Orchestration: Lead high-impact, cross-departmental initiatives—from M&A activity to complex tax structuring, ensuring all workstreams meet the highest standards of financial rigor.
Audit & Stakeholder Management: Own relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and strategic partners, ensuring seamless compliance and sophisticated reporting in a complex regulatory landscape.

What you’ll need:

Proven Executive Tenure: 10+ years of progressive finance leadership, with significant experience in high-growth technology environments, investment banking, or top-tier management consulting.
Strategic Visionary: A track record of moving beyond the "numbers" to influence company strategy, fundraising, and organizational design at the Board and executive levels.
Deep Web3 & Fintech Fluency: A sophisticated understanding of the crypto landscape, including treasury management of digital assets and the nuances of blockchain-native financial operations.
High-Agency Leadership: Experience building, mentoring, and scaling high-performing finance and accounting teams from the ground up.
Advanced Financial Architecture: Mastery of complex financial modeling, including the ability to synthesize multifaceted data sets into clear, actionable executive narratives.
Operational Excellence: The ability to instill structure and discipline in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment without sacrificing the agility required for a scaling startup.
Exceptional Communication: Poise and clarity when presenting to the Board, investors, and external regulatory bodies, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders.
