CAIS advances the scholarship and application of AI for the well-being of vulnerable communities. | The University of Southern California Center for AI in Society (CAIS) is a unique collaboration between USC’s Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and Viterbi School of Engineering, that advances the scholarship and application of AI for the well-being of vulnerable communities. CAIS furthers research and education in responsible and just artificial intelligence, through partnerships with community stakeholders, organizations, and policy makers. We draw inspiration from the Grand Challenges for Social Work, the National Academy of Engineering Grand Challenges for Engineering, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
