Transforming patient safety | MedAware was founded in 2012 following a tragic event when a 9-year-old boy died simply because his primary care physician accidentally selected the wrong drug on his electronic prescribing pull-down list. This mistake was not due to bad judgment on the side of the physician, but rather, simple human error.
