Unlocking the potential of ex-offenders | Founded in response to the 2011 London riots, Key4Life’s mission is to reduce youth reoffending through the delivery of an innovative 7-Step rehabilitation programme for those in prison or at risk of incarceration. We run programmes across London, Bristol and the Southwest, the Midlands and the Northwest. With its innovative mix of horse therapy, music, football, mentoring and employability workshops, our programme tackles the root causes of offending and has a remarkable track record for transforming the lives of ex-offenders and helping them into employment: • Just 7% of Key4Life’s participants reoffend, versus a Government rate of 64% • 60% secure employment or training, versus a Government rate of 15% The cost of putting one participant through the Key4Life programme is £4,700 versus the average annual cost of a prison place in England and Wales of 50,000 (Prison Reform Trust, June 2023).
