Our work is guided by Frances Perkins’ effective leadership style and one woman’s power to change the world. We are a nationally recognized cultural institution based at the Frances Perkins National Monument in Maine established to:  - Highlight Frances Perkins’ achievements, her body of work, her philosophy, and her policy contributions; - Articulate the relevancy of that work to American life today; - Convene scholars, leaders, and emerging leaders to deliberate solutions to the country’s social justice, economic security, and labor issues; - Connect contemporary policy issues to her legacy through relationships with the media, peer institutions, and policymakers; - Engage local communities and inspire future generations to consider civic engagement and public service as worthy and high callings; and - Preserve, Interpret, and Share the Frances Perkins Homestead as the place that shaped her character.
