We envision a world with safe water on tap for all | AguaClara Reach is a New York State nonprofit 501(c)(3) born out of Cornell University, where for the past 10 years the lab has been developing the first community-sustainable, non-electric water treatment technologies in the world. This is an award-winning technology (Tech Awards ’11, Katerva Awards ’13, RELX 2nd Prize '16, Best for the World Overall 2015, 2017) that was created to offer resource-poor communities a more affordable option to get clean water on tap delivered to their homes. Since 2005, AguaClara engineers have provided design and technical support services to development organizations and local governments in the construction of 14 full-scale water treatment plants throughout Honduras, serving over 65,000 people in all.
