Action for Women (formally Action from Switzerland) is a non-profit organisation based in Zürich, Switzerland, founded to focus solely on the needs of women and girls. We are run by volunteers and supported entirely by private donors. Our two projects include the Athena Women's Centre in Chios, and the Halcyon Days Project in Athens Athena Centre for Women - Chios Founded on Action for Women’s three pillars of safety, support and hope, the Centre offers women education, information, social psychological support and a safe space to speak up about gender-based violence.
