Mike is Head of UNHCR’s Digital Service, driving digital transformation to harness emerging technologies—including AI—to strengthen protection, inclusion, and opportunities for refugees and forcibly displaced communities. Prior to joining UNHCR 14 years ago, Mike worked on digital transformation for various UN agencies and NGOs on issues ranging from child rights and disabilities to the environment. As digital technologies continue to evolve alongside humanitarian action, UNHCR’s Digital Service is committed to an approach that puts people first—leveraging technology not just for efficiency, but to empower and protect the digitally excluded.
