The human brain is a crazy place, and there are two things that fascinate me most about product and growth marketing. First: the concept of consumer logic and how rational yet irrational it can be. And second: the challenge of communicating in a way that persuades and convinces consumers always requires optimization—so you're optimizing for something that is both rational and irrational. I apply the same thinking in product marketing that I also apply in leadership, because whether you're connecting with consumers or with your team, you're connecting with the fun irrationality of their logic—in order to bring ideas together, influence an outcome, and also optimize and scale for future growth. Outside of work, I serve on the Board of Directors of San Francisco Women in Tech, an organization committed to improving the networking and success of women in technology in Silicon Valley; I coach running for Girls on the Run, an organization designed to inspire young girls to be healthy, confident, and joyful; and I'm an avid runner, cyclist, and painter (alizartworks.com). I also consider myself a “flavor ambassador” to Humphry Slocombe ice cream and can sometimes be spotted scooping on warm summer nights.

The tl;dr About Me? I’m a purpose-driven strategist, a people-person, a career storyteller, an organizational behavior nerd, a philomath, an arts & culture kid, and a utility player. I have an artist’s heart and a business brain, and I love bringing both of those sensibilities to the organizations I serve. I started my career as a creative who spoke business. My career in the arts started onstage, and ultimately included program management at the Whitney Museum, fundraising and marketing at multiple Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning theaters, and performing in the national tour of a musical about calculus. As I transitioned across functions and organizations of varying sizes, I cultivated an ability to combine artistic sensibilities with strategic acumen. In completing my MBA at Yale, I honed my strengths while gaining new fluencies: in brand, strategy, finance, marketing, nonprofit management, consumer insights, and more. She's got range, folks. I’m now a businessperson who speaks creative. As a consultant, I work across industries and business contexts, solving problems by utilizing the entirety of my varied experience. I am a partner at Beal Private Capital, a boutique advisory firm that helps select private fund managers grow their businesses through capital raising, investor relations, and business development. I have over 10 years of experience in fundraising for private market funds, and I hold the SIE, Series 82, and Series 63 FINRA certifications. Before joining Beal Private Capital in 2023, I raised more than $2 billion across Greycroft's core early-stage and growth vehicles, as well as SPVs. I also contributed to the firm's marketing efforts including their newsletter, maintaining the CRM database, and assisting in planning investor events.
