Nicole is the head of the legal team at Wattpad, the world's largest reading and writing platform (90 million+ users). Wattpad was a VC backed startup (Khosla, USV, OMERS, Tencent) that was acquired in 2021 by Naver Corp. of South Korea, and currently operates as a subsidiary of Naver. Nicole’s work is focused on data privacy and online safety matters. She helps the company navigate complex and evolving legal and regulatory frameworks to ensure compliance. Before joining Wattpad, Nicole was General Counsel for an innovative Canadian charity and started her career as a guardianship, power of attorney and estate litigator. Nicole holds a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School, a BA from McGill University and is called to the Bar of Ontario.
