Did you know I don't have a first name? Yeah. Ask me about it. I was an annoyed 10 year old who couldn't deal with the slow process of earning coins in Club Penguin to buy accessories for your character. So I hacked it. I started developing with Visual Basic 6 at the time, and then moved on to a language called PAWN to make game servers for a popular online multiplayer mod called SA:MP. Wanting to expand my skills, I moved on to C# for 2-3 years, doing native Windows development. It was a while after that NodeJS started to become pretty famous for revolutionizing Javascript. While playing around with NodeJS I came across an online chatroom called CoinChat (sadly, it's no longer available). The idea was simple, you engage in quality conversation there and you get rewarded with milli-BTC (Bitcoin was about $400 at the time) which you could spend back there for emojis and text colors. I developed a few text based multiplayer games which utilized user's mBTC for the platform. It was only a few weeks after that CoinChat got DDoS'ed and the community slowly got disrupt. This was my first introduction to Bitcoin. I got over it and moved on to developing trading software for virtual assets in games such as Team Fortress 2 and CS:GO. I developed hundreds of different bots over a couple of years. In early 2017, I got the chance to attend the European Summer Program on Rationality where I was reminded about Bitcoin again. I developed trading bots which swapped these virtual assets for Bitcoin instantly. Over the next year, I developed a huge interest in the field and learnt more about all the various blockchain platforms. These days I am working on FlexFinTx, a self-sovereign identity platform for Sub-Saharan Africa built on the Algorand blockchain.
