With over a decade of experience in analytics, I specialize in transforming complex data into business and policy decisions. Who would have thought my obsession with technology gadgets and passion for interaction design as a kid would lead me to the world of technology and creative design? Little did I know I'd be piecing together the visual design and product design elements of successful user interfaces and (UX) user experiences for various platforms instead of cardboard pieces. The joy of seeing the final picture, storyboards, wireframes, prototypes, and mockups, much like the one on a puzzle box, is just as inspiring. My journey kicked off when my college professor at Horry-Georgetown Technical College discovered I had a unique eye for creativity in user interface design, which placed me in third among 2000 competitors in the AITP Southeast Region 7 Conference web design competition, working with a team of two designers and two developers. Later, while attending the Art Institute of Atlanta and working for Elsevier/MC Strategies, I founded A/B Designs Agency, a freelance design agency. I started honing my skills in creating and executing visual designs, user interfaces, web design, user experience, and interaction design. A notable achievement was spearheading the design, development, and delivery of e-learning courses, storyboards, and SCORM lessons for an organization valued at over $1.5B with an on-time delivery rate between 94% and 98% for more than 14 million users. When I'm not busy creating visual design layouts and helping others solve complex problems in various arenas, you'll find me volunteering at my local church, mentoring young entrepreneurs in my local community, or exploring the web for the latest courses to take in technology and design. These extracurricular activities have honed my innovation, creativity, analytical abilities, leadership, teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills, giving me an edge in creating successful, compelling user interface, UX, and interaction design experiences for the digital world.
