I have versatile cross-industry experience of 6 years in public and international affairs, sustainability and communications. I work at Paulig, a large company in the food and beverage industry. With my work, I get to contribute to the sustainable future of food with our stakeholders throughout the international value chain. Previously, I have worked in several roles, e.g. at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Finnish Development NGOs, and a large Finnish food company Valio. In my career I have had several roles in which I have experienced many different angles to communications and stakeholder management. For example, at Valio, I led subprojects and participated in initiatives that enhance Valio's sustainability performance, reputation, and stakeholder relations mainly in the Finnish but also global market. I collaborated with diverse teams, consultants, and partners across different sectors and regions, applying my skills in strategic communications, stakeholder relations, and project management. My passion for communications and international development stems from my academic background and international exposure. I hold an M.Sc. degree in Economics and Business Administration from Aalto University, where I studied management, and sustainable business development, particularly in the global south. I have also worked and studied in Hong Kong, Switzerland, and the U.S., gaining valuable insights and perspectives from different cultures and contexts. Additionally, I have authored reports and theses on topics such as partnerships in the educational technology sector and digital development in East Africa, and exchange programs and public diplomacy. I am looking forward to further developing my skills and experience in communications, sustainability, and public and international affairs in my career. My previous job as an counsellor in the innovation sector has given me chance to work in the field which I feel passionate about, developing innovation ecosystems in the emerging economies. I was working with the regional development cooperation programmes supported by the Finnish government in Southern African region. Before that I was in Vietnam working as an innovation expert for the bilateral development cooperation between the local and Finnish government. In addition, my assignments at the different players in the Finnish innovation system (Technopolis, Venture Cup and Otaniemi Marketing) coupled with hands-on experience in SMEs in both mature and developing markets have given understanding and know-how to foster the development of the highly value-added industries, especially from the private sector’s point of view.
