I am a visual artist collaborating with scientists, tech innovators, musicians, shamans, and other curious minds.
For over a decade I have been living and working between The Netherlands and Ecuador. This spatial relationship has broadened my worldview and enriched my creative understanding of what is possible.
Utilizing a wide array of artistic mediums—including installation, digital media, sculpture and painting, my work instigates a sense of wonder by connecting technology, science, and ecology.
I believe that integrating seemingly divergent elements is essential for our collective flourishing and even our survival in the midst of today's accelerating reality.
I am always open to exchange ideas and explore potential collaborations with curious minds, institutions, and companies. Just reach at studio@antimundo.org
Education >
My education began in the early 2000s as a self-taught artist in my native Ecuador. In 2008, thanks to a fellowship, I moved to the US, where I obtained an MFA in Sculpture from VCU—Virginia Commonwealth University. Soon after, I moved to The Netherlands.
Since then, I have been an artist-in-residence at Skowhegan (US), Jan van Eyck (NL), Ratti Foundation (IT), Delfina Foundation (UK), Leiden Astronomical Observatory (NL), and NIAS (NL).
Throughout the years, as a professor, I have had the opportunity to share ideas with younger artists at UArts (US), Colby College (US), and St. Joost (NL), and also, as an advisor, at De Ateliers (NL).
