Bob Coon is an established senior executive with a proven track record of scaling advertising teams. He has depth and experience managing a global sales organization, building multiple businesses to north of $1B, and driving deal flow including commercial partnerships and acquisitions supporting those businesses. Bob, based in New York, was most recently the Chief Revenue Officer of Samba TV, reporting to the CEO. In this role he owned all revenue generation via his oversight of the Sales Organization, Sales Enablement, Account Management, Sales Operations, and Customer Success Teams. During his tenure at Samba, Bob changed the company’s go-to-market strategy and re-organized the sales team to better focus on customer needs, built a new compensation plan, played a pivotal role in the sale and transition of Samba’s media business to a third party, and positioned the Revenue Organization for future growth by centering its attention around Samba’s core strengths of measurement and data. A builder at heart, Bob has launched, scaled and led high impact teams within Amazon and Samba TV. Prior to Samba, Bob spent almost 13 years at Amazon Advertising and was instrumental in the launch of Amazon’s connected TV (CTV) products. He also led various vertical teams as the Head of Grocery Advertising Sales at Amazon where he focused on growing the company’s robust grocery business in the height of the pandemic. Previously, he served three other areas of Amazon’s core growth, including launching and scaling both Amazon’s Hospitality and Emerging Accounts Teams and running Amazon’s Global Product Sales Team. Earlier in his career, Bob held executive sales roles at InterActiveCorp, Bankrate, and Disney, bringing TV and digital media products to market. He graduated from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1998 with a BS in Business Administration and concentration in Marketing. Bob lives in New Jersey with his wife, daughter, and two dogs.
