I am a seasoned educator, trainer, and consultant with over 15 years of experience in higher education, entrepreneurship mentorship, curriculum development, and cross-cultural communication. Holding a B.A. in Economics and a Post-Degree in Foreign Trade and International Business from ITAM (Mexico), I have further specialised in Industrial and Trade Policies (MITI, Japan), Trade Promotion (CBI, Holland) and Circular Economy (Cambridge, UK).
During my 14-year tenure at Republic Polytechnic (Singapore), I served as a Senior Lecturer, leading the Entrepreneurship Portfolio and conducting training on Business Startups, Fundraising, Economics, and International Marketing. Additionally, I trained elite engineering students on Design Thinking and modern Business Canvas methodologies.
I also held the role of Senior Manager at the Consumer Insight and Social Enterprise Research Centre (CISERC), fostering partnerships with industry players, voluntary organisations, and community groups to devise innovative, practical solutions to real-world challenges.
Before my academic career, I co-founded and managed a Singaporean company for eight years, facilitating business partnerships between Singapore and Latin America. As the last Trade Commissioner of Mexico for Southeast Asia, I actively promoted Mexican exports and attracted Foreign Direct Investment to Mexico.
My extensive experience with BANCOMEXT (16 years) included leading various industrial clusters and overseeing large-scale trade fairs, missions, consulting projects, research, and development. Additionally, I managed Foreign Exchange, Treasury, and Funds operations at major banking institutions in Mexico.
I am also an Advanced Toastmaster Silver and Competent Leader, having served as Area Governor B1 for Toastmasters International in Singapore and President of Results Foundation Toastmasters Club.
Being fluent in English and Spanish, I am also a skilled translator of legal documents and a passionate traveller who has lived in the USA, Holland, Japan, and Singapore, where I am a Permanent Resident.
For now, I am taking a small sabbatical break in Southeastern Spain. Still, I am open to connecting with professionals and organisations that share my enthusiasm for education, training, and global business development.
I am a strategic communications specialist, technical writer, and storyteller with 15+ years of experience in writing, editing, stakeholder engagement, mentoring, and public speaking. I am also:
- An award-winning published novelist for teens (writing as Jackie Morse Kessler).
- An award-winning Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM), proficient in Innovative Planning, Dynamic Leadership, Presentation Mastery, Strategic Relationships, and Leadership Development.
