Billie Bugara is an award-winning 24-year-old media consultant. She has been interviewed by outlets such as Insider, Pitchfork, Complex, and more for her insight on modern digital culture, while also contributing written pieces of her own to i-D, Complex, and more as a freelancer. She has worked with companies such as SoundCloud, Atlantic Records, and Year0001 Records as a media consultant in various roles. At SoundCloud, she founded and curated the 'Digicore' playlist, highlighting the sound and community of the platform's next generation of musicians. She holds a Master of Arts in Media, Culture, and Communication from New York University, and earned both a Bachelors of Science and Bachelors of Arts in Media Science and Sociology, respectively, from Boston University. Her research is situated in disciplines of visual culture, media theory, semiotics, and more. Her interests mainly center around media/brand aesthetics in consumerism and the socialization of technology.
