As a strategic investment advisor and OCIO executive, I partner with private foundations, endowments, and non-profit organizations to provide objective advice that supports investment programs that advance the financial goals of the organization to include alignment with impact and mission oriented goals. I am a recognized thought leader in impact and ESG (environmental, social, governance) investing as well as philanthropic investment planning. I work with my clients to incorporate these unique strategies as part of their investment planning & legacy initiatives. I am passionate about mentoring female entrepreneurs and education reform in the Washington DC region as well as giving back to my community by sharing my expertise with non-profit organizations and other community based projects that are working to change outcomes for families living in poverty. When I am not consulting with my clients, speaking or writing white papers, you can find me at art museums with my son or practicing my hobby of painting abstract and impressionism art.

My name is Sarah Guthrie, though I go by Sally, and I am driven by a passion to improve the treatment and understanding of psychiatric disorders. I am currently focused on designing and improving data-driven machine learning methods that use neuroimaging data to: - Better understand and tease apart heterogeneity within psychiatric disorders - Investigate whether endophenotypes that are shared across psychiatric disorders originate from common brain activation patterns. Throughout my career, I've worked with a diverse set of data, including DNA, RNA, sMRI, fMRI, EEG, questionnaires, and video and audio recordings. As an undergrad at MIT, I investigated antibiotic efficacy using molecular modeling. I proceeded to work at the startup Curoverse, where I explored genetic sequence encodings designed to enable population-based and personalized medicine. After taking two neuroscience classes at Harvard Extension School, I joined McLean Hospital. As a volunteer in Diego Pizzagalli's lab, I curated over 400 MRIs and questionnaires of depressed and healthy subjects to prepare for machine learning. I continued as a data analyst in the Baker Lab, where I performed basic digital phenotyping data analysis to improve predictions of psychotic episodes in subjects suffering from bipolar and schizophrenia. At Invitae I led several projects for our Lab Information and Management System, allowing the Invitae Lab to continue to scale. At MGH, I collected and preprocessed fMRI and EEG data for machine learning analysis, and engineered a python package to analyze the fit of an estimated fMRI time-course (generated from an EEG spike train and a hemodynamic response model) with an observed fMRI time-course.
