Working at the intersection of aviation and public transit, our team is helping to catalyze Sustainable Aviation Fuel supply and increase electrical supply at regional airports. Excited for regional electric aircraft to hit the market, changing the economics of regional routes via that small airport near home. In transit, we are automating 40' battery electric buses within depots and leveraging computer vision to enable real-time data for passengers with wheelchairs or bikes. Nearly a decade of experience across air, rail, and mass transit in strategic, technical, and operational roles. Over the last 20 years, I have flown over 450,000 miles for University, to see loved ones abroad, and pursue new opportunities. I have used a British Airways logbook from 2003 as an excuse to chat with Captains. For our kids to enjoy the magic of air travel however, we need to reduce aviation emissions (CO2 and non-CO2). ——TECHNICAL PROFICIENCIES—— AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (S3, RDS, Athena) Python, C#, R, SQL, Git Power Apps/Automate/BI Data Science Fundamentals ——CAREER HIGHLIGHT————— One highlight was launching real-time passenger information for Maryland Transit’s light rail in 2022 (think predicted arrival times on apps and at stations). The dynamic blend of writing software, testing arrival predictions at station platforms, training operations control staff, and presenting to leadership was exhilarating. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve had this unrelenting curiosity about how things work. I was the one always asking “Why?”- whether it was helping my dad change a flat tire or pestering my 4th-grade teacher about why “I” comes before “E” unless there’s a “C.” I’ve always needed to understand the mechanics behind everything. Not just accept how things are, but figure out why they work that way and if there’s a better way to do them. That same mindset carried into my career. Before getting into SaaS and HCM, I built bridges outside NYC where I worked my way up from apprentice to carpenter foreman in under four years. That world taught me a ton about creative problem-solving, efficiency, workflows and the importance of understanding the "Why" behind it all. I brought that same curiosity to Rippling where I take a consultative approach to understand how companies operate, uncover inefficiencies, and help leaders streamline HR, payroll, IT, and financial systems to make their lives easier, their businesses more efficient, and their operations scalable.
