I’m a creative and driven marketing professional with over two decades of experience developing and implementing successful, holistic marketing strategies. A brand and user advocate, I strive to balance customer needs with business requirements. I have experience leading large teams and managing complex projects. My strengths include inventive problem-solving, concise storytelling, and critical thinking. I’m a passionate writer, speaker, and motivator with an eye for design and an innate ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Currently, I lead the Creative and Project Solutions team at Strategic Education, Inc. (SEI) We are the internal creative agency supporting Marketing. I drive and develop our creative vision and standards, as well as our team culture. I manage 30 talented writers, designers and project managers who create best-in-class marketing assets and digital properties for our brands: Strayer University, Capella University, Sophia, and Strategic Education, Inc. The team works across channels and all aspects of media — web, video, animation, social, email, display, print, and more. While at SEI, I’ve helped create a culture of design-thinking and encouraged the growth of our creative community. In 2020, my team rolled out new brand identities for Strayer, Capella, and Strategic Education.
Prior to SEI, I was a digital marketer and creative strategist at Verizon Media (AOL, Yahoo, HuffPost, TechCrunch, etc.). Earlier in my career at AOL, I managed the creative team that supported the highly profitable subscription business.
I’m a fierce champion for my people and for our consumers. I give space to thrive while I try to eliminate friction and elevate the work. I love what I do — bringing out the best in creative folks — and my goal is to foster an environment so that they love what they do, too.
