Born and raised by the Meditarranean Coast in Herzliya, Israel, Shira is alumna of the 8200 Elite Technology Unit of the Intelligence (2002-2004), as well as of Harvard (B.A., 2004-2008) and the University of St. Gallen HSG (MBA, 2012-2014). Shira (41) founded Cyverse AG in 2016 in Zurich with the vision of connecting Europe to Israel’s booming cyber ecosystem. Cyverse AG has become a recognized provider of best-in-breed, next-gen Israeli cyber-security solutions for DACH-based multinational enterprises. In 2021, following a successful track record of angel investing, Shira launched Cyverse Capital, an invitation-only group of investors who invest together into early-stage cyber-security companies. In 2024, Shira and team launched Qino Cyber Capital, an investment company. Prior to her entrepreneurial and investor journey, Shira worked in multinationals including Teva Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: TEVA) and Bank Julius Baer & Co. (SIX: BAER). Shira is the recipient of several awards: - In 2017, she was selected as Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. - In 2018, she was selected by the Israeli financial magazine Globes as one of "40 Israeli Business Leaders under 40". - In 2020, 2021 and 2022, Shira was elected as Top 100 Digital Shapers by the Swiss magazine Bilanz, and was recognized in the Bilanz "Hall of Fame." - In 2022, she was featured on the Trust of the WSJ "100 Israeli Tech Leaders You Should Know." She is the recipient of numerous fellowships and scholarships, including the Seeds of Peace scholarship; the United World College Scholarship; the Shelby Davis Scholarship; the Goldman Fellowship; the Milken Fellowship; and the St. Gallen Women in Business Scholarship; and the STARS Program in Switzerland. Shira is an Advisory Board Member at the Geneva School of Economics and Management (GSEM). She is an active Board Member at the Weizmann Young European Network (WYEN). She is a mentor at the 8200 Woman2Woman program. Shira has been featured on SRF, CNN Switzerland, NZZ, Bilanz, Finews, the PwC CEO Magazine, Financial Times, New York Times, The Straits Times, Haaretz and TheMarker, among others. Shira is the mother of 3 Montessori-trained children, and resides with Itay by the Lake of Zurich.
