I'm a startup survivor, digital strategist and marketer with 20 years of experience across digital, software and hardware. I build productive and resilient teams at startups, agencies and global corporations.
I've held IT, software & digital-focused roles at global corporations including Dow & Cargill. Earlier career chapters focused on digital agencies and building innovative startups in wearable tech, smart home IoT, mobile software and search engine marketing.
At Dow, I'm supporting a new initiative, the Dow Delivery Center at UIUC (University of Illinois Urbana Champaign). We employ students at the University of Illinois to work on Enterprise Data & Analytics strategic projects, while also helping students gain valuable career experience in data & software engineering.
At Cargill, I led B2B digital marketing within Cargill Food North America. I also started and scaled the Cargill Innovation Lab at UIUC where 115+ STEM students shipped 100+ R&D prototypes across 4 years.
As the VP of Marketing & Operations at meShare, an Illinois & Chinese-based smart home device company, I led a team of product managers, engineers and marketers to execute smart home device product launches and grow video clip hosting subscription MRR.
I led digital and branded content initiatives at Hobbico across a 30-person team and 40 brands. I served as a digital strategist with Tower Hobbies (their e-com site) and directed turnaround projects: cart redesign for mobile, paid search revamp & Bazaarvoice implementation.
I was founding team at Rithmio, an early-stage wearable tech startup that spun out of UIUC and was acquired by Bosch. I served as a "Swiss army knife" player. I led public speaking engagements (CES, SXSW Interactive), was client-facing with Fortune 500 companies, & even ran a data collection program for our algorithms team.
I was the VP of Marketing & Innovation at Mutual Mobile, an Austin-based mobile software product company that grew from 5 guys in a dorm room to 250+ global employees. I served on the executive team, ran a 15-person department & directed engineering hackathons that helped us win Under Armour and Sleep Number.
At Springbox, I worked in new business and directed accounts such as AMD. At Fishbone Marketing, I directed online marketing services for smaller regional accounts. In Chicago at Resolution Media, I was an early employee (#16) at what's now a global search engine marketing firm.
