I prefer hard, and weird problems in aerodynamics and CFD with an emphasis on practical engineering and mathematical novelty and rigor. I've been in a research role of some kind for most of my career where I have applied my background in aerodynamics and CFD, DSMC, rarefied gas, aerospace vehicle dynamics and extensive software development. I am especially interested in problems involving spacecraft in low orbits and atmospheric entry. I think humanity should be multiplanetary, and beyond, and intend to work towards this goal regardless of my actual job.
