Anil started his career as a software engineer and product management leader in financial capital markets technology with major banks (UBS, JPM Chase) and then moved (via investment banking with JPM Chase) into technology venture capital. For the past 22 years he has been dedicated to helping European entrepreneurs, especially in the fintech and digital media industries, achieve their dreams with capital, operational support, business development, achieving fundraising and exits as well as general board-level advice with financial funds (Fabric Ventures, IDG Ventures, co-founding Mojo.capital and Firestartr.co), Corporates (Google, Modern Times Group MTGx, setting up PayPal Ventures in EMEA) and as a trusted advisor to financial funds (EQT, Creandum, MCI, Investinor, Seedcamp, Claret and Kompas VC). He has actively promoted and supported the entrepreneurial ecosystem in both London and Stockholm, giving back to the community in his spare time (co-founding Google Campus London and BCS Entrepreneurs and board of SUP-46). Consequently he was awarded a fellowship of the BCS, the Chartered Institute of IT in 2007 and an Honorary Doctorate of Computing in 2011.
