A skilled leader, communicator, and lifelong learner with a passion for connecting and collaborating with the community. Over 10 years of local government experience with a demonstrated history of developing and maintaining positive working relationships with councils, committees, co-workers, and community.
My experience in community-based arts has spanned a variety of roles including curator, writer, educator, art historical researcher, registrar, and public programmer.
After completing the Studio Art program at Capilano College in 1998, I earned a BA in Art History and Women’s Studies at UBC (2003), and an MA in Art History and Curatorial Studies at York University (2005). In 2017, I completed a Certificate in Cultural Planning at UBC and I am currently pursuing a Certificate in Local Government Leadership at Capilano University.
In 2008 I completed my BC Recreation and Parks Assoc. (BCRPA) certification as a fitness leader. Since 2009, I have taught weekly yoga classes at the Gibsons and Area Community Centre (SCRD Parks & Rec)
