Since 2016, I’ve been dedicated to creating a yoga and wellness business in Richmond, VA - Humble Haven Yoga. I started as a one woman show while still living in the Northern Virginia area teaching in studios and also in-home one-on-one yoga, specializing in working with young adults and children with special needs. While I sought out various teachers for my children's and Prenatal yoga certifications, my one true love and foundation is in Power Yoga so when my husband and I were thinking of moving back to my hometown of Richmond, I jumped at an opportunity to build my first brick and mortar studio, primarily offering Hot Power Vinyasa.
Humble Haven's mission is to build a more resilient community through the principles and practices of yoga. While we are a for profit business, we take a portion of our studio earnings each year to build yoga and mindfulness community programs. Over the past several years we have offered free yoga programming to non profits in Richmond that serve our refugee communities and adults with special needs. I am a parent to a daughter with Down syndrome and am passionate about creating wellness services for members of my community that are traditionally under served.

Prior to starting my own business, I worked in profitability forecasting and program development in the digital advertising world. I am grateful for my experience at both AOL and WeddingWire as it fostered my knack for numbers which has certainly come in handy in business ownership!
In my spare time, you'll find me running around a park or in the backyard with my dog Maple, three kids, and husband Steve. I love to cook and bake. I am a forever student so you can often find me enrolled in a training or mentorship program and I'm a bit of a non fiction fanatic both in books and documentaries.
