Hello. I tend develop software and cloud infrastructure, and as often as possible I try talking to people. Sometimes even about software and cloud infrastructure. Often in an attempt to solve complex problems, like cooperation, agility, security, business outcomes, and effectiveness. And more often about coffee brewing and my beloved espresso machine.
Typically I sit in some sort of architect or tech lead role where I can interact with both technical and non-technical people while combining overall big picture stuff with more detailed technical things. Personally I enjoy a combination of software development, cloud infrastructure, processes and methodologies, strategy thinking, human interaction, writing, reading, and lots more.
Often I live far off at some remote village somewhere, and therefor do most of my work over the Internet. Besides tech, I like all kinds of outdoorsy things, and I continuously make failed attempts at portraying low pressure weather systems in writing. Ask me about shepherding.
As a Software Egineer I am a generalist, a lifelong student. I'm a proficient fullstack developer most at home writing code at the back of the stack - be it services, tooling, automation or infrastructure related.
I’m a polyglot developer and I have professional experience working in Rust, Go, Java, Python, Bash, and I have dabbled in many more - Haskell, Erlang, C, Scala, Ruby, to name a few.
I’ve got experience from working in small startups and large multi-national corporations. I’ve managed people and business. I’ve mentored and coached people through decision making and personal growth.
I understand that a lot of engineering is social before it is technical. But I love solving problems with code.
