I am a seasoned IT professional with over 20 years of software development experience and comprehensive business/technical skills, fully understanding SDLC with a particular interest in efficient and agile teams.
During my career, I have worn many hats. My first stage focused on becoming a software developer and growing into Technical Leader / Architect. I worked on challenging projects using different tech stacks, which you may check in detail below, and heavily oriented to services models. I am naturally curious about knowledge and willing to learn new things any time I can. I had the chance to develop my leadership and coaching skills with excellent results, like the teams I had the pleasure to lead. Besides fulfilling the goal, I tried to stimulate the individual and the group to grow. Heavily orientated to teamwork.
After accomplishing my goals on the technical side, I changed to the delivery track. I believe that my natural "team player way" (because all the years I played rugby -30-) is a good skill to develop and share. So I decided to move to team building, coaching, and agile management. I worked as Scrum master when I was tech lead, so for me was a natural movement to the management area. I had several challenging projects during this stage, and they gave me a chance to find some creative solutions and, in the end, helped me to evolve and become Sr Delivery Manager. One of the most important goals that I enjoy is to inspire and support team members to grow their technical and human skills and challenge themselves to give the extra mile with a solid and scalable path that ultimately makes teams better and also myself.
Lately, I've been working as an engineer matcher/technical matcher, which is a challenging role where I use all the experience I have since my early beginnings. It is a strategy role focused on staffing and building the proper team for specific projects or accounts, using my technical side to vet and decide which talents are the perfect fit and have the best potential to invest in, and my business side to set and handle expectations with client's Directors/VP/Managers, building a long term relationship based on proper delivery and business communication.
In terms of new opportunities, I am more interested in Delivery/SM/PM/Business/Matching strategic roles than coding (still doing some coding but just for fun).
