I'm an engineering generalist with 15 years of experience building software in complex domains, from seed-stage startups to mature, profitable companies. I love collaborating to find elegant solutions to business problems, and I work hard to foster a culture of clarity, ownership, and psychological safety with my teammates and reports. I enjoy facilitating growth, shipping meaningful work on time, and having fun as a team while doing it!
Prior to becoming an EM, I was a Staff Engineer, reflecting more than a decade of deep IC work. I've also spent time at the Recurse Center (as both a participant and faculty member), invested in a few startups myself, and worked in the nonprofit space. My academic background is in art history and architecture.
