I am a seasoned technical leader with 25 years experience that spans founding my own venture-backed startups to architecting the Infrastructure as Code platform that underpins Salesforce's Hyperforce cloud platform. At Marqeta I oversee the technical strategy of our S-SDLC, managed compute platform, and developer tooling.
I'm passionate about development processes, iterative product development, and building scalable web infrastructure. I've worked on everything from small prototypes with startups to running large programs to remediate a material weakness at a publicly traded company.
I have authored pieces for O'Reilly's ONLAMP.com and have spoken at Web 2.0 Expo, Future of Web Apps, Future of Web Design, Kings of Code, The Next Web, Q-Con, SXSW, MySQL Conference, DjangoCon, and PHP-Con, to name a few.
I’m a senior iOS Engineer and Product Owner with 10+ years of experience building intuitive, performant, and user-centered applications. My sweet spot is working with early-stage or mission-driven teams—taking products from zero to one with velocity, clarity, and care.
I’ve led Agile teams, shipped native apps in healthcare, civic tech, and insurance, and co-founded a startup where I owned both product vision and technical architecture. Whether I’m deep in SwiftUI or driving cross-functional planning, I bring a builder’s mindset grounded in UX, strategy, and iterative delivery.
At Cognizant Accelerator, I acted as both engineer and product owner—launching products across complex domains while ensuring user needs drove feature development. Across my career, I’ve been known for high collaboration, product intuition, and seeing around corners to ship what matters.
I’m currently open to iOS Engineering and Product Owner roles—especially with teams creating tools for learning, wellness, or collective impact.
At ReCommon, I co-founded a mapping platform to support land stewardship, integrating QGIS, Indigenous knowledge, and regenerative design.
Now back in hands-on iOS engineering, I bring a sharpened eye for UX, cross-functional collaboration, and real-world impact. I love building mobile experiences that are both technically excellent and deeply meaningful.
On the side, I design cooperative card games that explore systems thinking and story. Whether coding, mapping, or playing—I build with purpose.
I’m currently open to iOS Engineering and Product Owner roles—especially with teams creating tools for learning, wellness, or collective impact.
I have over 18 years of experience working in tech. As a Product and Design leader I have a strong expertise in user experience design and product strategy. I have been a Player/Coach at six tech startups and counting. I’ve also assembled Product and Design teams from scratch. I’ve worked at both B2B and B2C companies. I’ve built many products spanning all the way from the CRM, Sales, and Marketing space to more technical APIs/Developer Tools.
I collaborate with senior leadership, engineers, marketers, and customers to define, create, and ship our most important product experiences. I manage the business of our product, craft and execute strategic product planning, and nurture and retain high-performing product managers and designers. I also plan, shape, and execute with agile methodologies and sprints, ensuring that we deliver quality products that meet user needs and provide a seamless and engaging experience.
I believe in using the right tool for the job, even if I have to learn how to use a tool I've never heard of before. In some cases, the tool does not exist and I have to invent it.
If I had to pick one skill that I believe I do better than most other developers, I'd say that I excel at being thrown in the weeds without a map or much hope of success. I've been the person who gets told to "go over there and figure out what's going on" on practically every team of which I've been a part. I've often been the difference between a problem happening because of "magic", and full knowledge of the root cause and a solution.
And while such things as "Agile" and "RESTful" definitely has their merits, I've been doing this long enough to know that some "old-and-busted" ways of doing things (Waterfall and SOAP APIs come to mind) have their place as well. At the very least, I can explain why some the "new" stuff is better, besides it just being "new".
I've been a developer for a long time. And, while I might not have have 25+ years experience in one specific niche, I believe the breadth of what I have done shows that I can pick up anything I don't already know very quickly.
