Through my work experience at Twilio, I discovered my passion for leadership and mentoring, leading me toward a career path as an engineering manager and beyond. Previously, my focus was on developing and creating tools to assist people, driven by my innate desire to help others, and my love for coding. However, I unearthed my talent for leading teams, creating impact, and making a difference.
As a member of the ERG Women in LATAM board, I had the opportunity to create impactful change, ensuring others were heard and felt included. Serving as the Bogotá Hub Deputy, I spearheaded various committees—events, communications, social impact, and new hires—to foster community cohesion.
I've served as a mentor for individuals transitioning from non-tech backgrounds into the realm of development, as well as for developers seeking to enhance their soft skills and advance in their careers. The recognition for my efforts manifested through invitations to participate in manager panels, inclusion in the Colombia Leadership Council, and heartfelt gratitude from my direct reports, who acknowledged my dedication to their growth and well-being. Moreover, peers have commended the significant impact I've made within our business unit.
