I am a technologist turned VC with 25+ years of experiences. As a founding Managing Director of Samsung Next Ventures, I focus on AI, Intelligent Machines, and Edge/Blockchain Infrastructure. In the past 4 years our early-stage tech investment team has been investing in the boldest and most ambitious founders at a pace of one new deal per week. The approach has paid off with the exits of Leonardo, MosaicML in AI; Volterra, Packet and AST SpaceMobile in edge infrastructure; and substantial markup in Dapper Labs, Forte, Theta Labs and Alchemy, etc. My previous career span across all facets of a builder -- PhD researcher, entrepreneur, EIR, venture technologist and then CTO of a global business of Siemens. This experience gave me a unique perspective and empathy for a tech entrepreneur's challenges.
