Over my 20+ years in the software industry, I have had the privilege to grow within one of the most exciting industries you can work in. Having worked for both multi-national corporates and small to medium start ups, I have thrived in the contrast between building a business from a blank sheet of paper to growing businesses in scale up mode to drive growth and create stakeholder value. My experience has covered off implementing some of the largest software solutions in Australia, including implementing one of the first state-wide cloud solutions in government at the age of 29 through solution consulting and then into revenue generating roles and growing businesses. Understanding the full software cycle from the inside across initial interest through the renewal process and having contributed to all facets of the above has given me an appreciation of the value of software beyond the normal surface level discussions. As a strategic growth leader, I strive to build and drive organisations that add value to the customers that they serve. The days of turning up and asking a customer 'what keeps them awake at night are long gone'. The B2B sales process is first and foremost an advisory service for customers to further understand the strategic value of engaging with our organisation and I aim to foster and develop teams to drive that value into market. Financial intelligence, sales acumen, business consultation and customer empathy are all the attributes of a organisation that strives to deliver beyond the traditional product sale, these are the table-stakes of today's intelligent enterprise. a keen beach walker, consumers of history and current affairs and geo-politics, contrary to that, I do make a decent dinner guest, as I love finding out about people and what makes them tick. I also love challenging people and debating points with them, this is a passion of mine as it helps me understand who the individual truly is, what motivates them and what their passion is beyond the normal façade that we all carry in our day to day professional lives.
