WGA Writer and Former Cyber Intelligence Officer.
Positive. Persistent. People Oriented. Born Emmanuel Pedro, I bounced around the foster care system of Chicago and had five name changes all before the age of ten. A passion for computers, caped crusaders and comic books led me to want be "Q" (from James Bond) someday. Years later, I found myself recruited to work for the intelligence community, in various posts, helping deploy advanced signals intelligence systems and "gadgets" in the field, under cover, as well as help manage various aerospace and defense projects.
I adore the bleeding edge of technology and the digital future. With over fifteen years of experience as a cyber intelligence resource, or experienced technology consultant and exec, I have helped some our world's biggest brands further their goals through an agile approach to solving complex problems, securely. My experience also allows me to also work as a freelance television writer and producer. After participating in the top Studio Writing Fellowships (Disney Finalist, Writers on the Verge Fellow, NHMC Writers Program) I lent my unique POV, skills, expertise and voice to TV and film in various writers rooms, allowing for authenticity and accuracy -- all added to crucial storylines and dynamic characters over time.
Over my vast career, I also have hands-on expertise in interactive, mobile, security, SAAS/cloud applications. Using a mix of various proven SDLC processes like Scrum, Agile and Waterfall methodologies, I have led an array of compelling projects to successful completion. As a leader who has built and lead PMO orgs and teams, I pay attention to the small things and am a detail-oriented problem solver who thoroughly analyzes the data available while crafting strategic, cost-conscious solutions. This has afforded me the experience to see around corners in most program management roles... as well as help steer my teams to what works best based on gut, skill and well defined metrics as the core foundation for the work at hand.
As a diverse, empathic and creative professional, with a bias for action, I am most happy in a collaborative environment that allows the best and brightest ideas or skillsets to flourish, driving the best results whenever possible.
