I am a staff engineer at VMware with 10+ years of software engineering and cloud computing experience. I hold AWS and Kubernetes certifications that showcase my skills and knowledge in building and operating cloud solutions that are scalable, reliable, and cost-effective.
At VMware, I lead the DevOps team for the CloudHealth platform, which helps companies optimize their cloud spend, governance, and security. I spearheaded the migration of micro-services from KOPS clusters to AWS EKS, which streamlined cluster management and resulted in cost savings for the company. I lead migration of EMR clusters to EKS (Distributed Spark) using AWS Karpenter as an autoscaler and as a result managed EKS cluster size of over 1800 nodes in production. I also managed cluster operations for a smaller size of 500 plus nodes in production, dealing with cluster upgrades, permissions, cluster security, deployments of micro-services etc.
My goal is to enhance the performance and efficiency of cloud resources and services, while ensuring customer satisfaction and business value. I collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver innovative and impactful cloud solutions that meet the evolving needs and challenges of the industry. I am passionate about using DevOps tools and practices, to enable and empower developers to build and deploy high-quality applications on the cloud.
