I’m a seasoned Business Development professional specializing in pioneering partnerships for consumer growth and brand reach.
As Chief of Staff to Alexis Ohanian (Co-Founder, Reddit), I cultivated key cross-functional relationships to influence and drive projects across business portfolios. In late 2014, Alexis offered me a principal role in Reddit’s Marketing Department. I launched the Upvoted Podcast and closed content partnerships with Conde Nast and Google.
Given my strategic accomplishments, executive leadership placed me in Reddit’s Business Development team. My knack for visionary initiatives continued with Endless Thread, a podcast partnership with WBUR (NPR Affiliate). To realize this partnership, I worked with C-Suite Executives, cross-functional stakeholders, and external partners to align on a multi-year podcast partnership. This strategic endeavor made the best new podcast lists in TIME, USA Today, and The Guardian, won an Edward R. Murrow Award, and resulted in a 17% acquisition rate.
My achievements were recognized by Reddit leadership, and I was awarded participation in Reddit’s Key Talent Program, which recognizes the top 5% of employees. Shortly after, I joined a cohort of departmental stakeholders to focus on Reddit’s international expansion ambitions. Within months, I launched Reddit’s first community integration partnership with popular French site VDM, producing a top 10 most active French community on Reddit. During this period, I also led negotiations with Heise and ITV for German and British market partnerships, respectively.
In my most recent role, I led Entertainment Partnerships, where I established a Co-Marketing Program that expanded Reddit’s reach and relevance and successfully drove user and engagement growth across the platform. The program expanded on existing relationships to unlock further partnership value from partners like Netflix, HBO, and Amazon.
My skills also include Company and Operational development. I published and led workshops for an end-to-end workflow of the Business Development Team that was used to onboard all global employees when the department grew by 370%. I was also a charter member of Reddit’s Black Employee Resource Group: Black People Reddit, a vital contributor to improving Reddit’s diverse candidate pipeline by over 10X. As an active recruiter on behalf of the group, I was nominated to represent Reddit at AfroTech twice.
My journey isn’t solely professional; in 2022, I welcomed my daughter, Maia.
