I bring a wealth of experience in startups, scale-ups, and the building of digital businesses, along with financial modelling, corporate structuring, capital introduction, and venture capital to make businesses happen. My journey began in New York, where I successfully sold my first company, Mercury Textbooks. I then ventured into the digital realm by founding the digital division of GGNY agency and subsequently joined the prestigious Bear Stearns. During my tenure at Bear Stearns, I relocated to London, where I spent several years at the helm building the international algorithmic trading business in Europe and Asia. Continuing my passion for digital disruption, I transitioned into the realm of eCommerce, founding Dine In, London's trailblazing restaurant delivery service. I played a pivotal role in the expansion of UberEATS across Asia, launched Alibaba's Lazada/Redmart Express business, and contributed to the digital success of NTUC/Fairprice, then once again running eCommerce as Chief Strategy Officer at DFI Digital. As a builder and founder at heart, I am actively involved in advisory roles and investments in the dynamic landscape of venture capital and startups. Always eager to explore fresh avenues and contribute to transformative ventures, I welcome connections from like-minded individuals and opportunities that align with my passion for innovation and growth. I hold a Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) and a Masters degree in Chemical Physics from Columbia University. Hiring the best talents globally. I have successfully launched the 0-1 hiring process for this new and exciting domain, sourcing and screening candidates from diverse backgrounds and industries. Experienced in crypto, web3, social commerce hiring I have also developed and executed recruitment strategies to increase diversity and inclusion within the organization, collaborating with hiring managers and stakeholders across different regions and levels.

As a data scientist, I focus on building data science products. For modeling, I often utilise regression (linear, logistic, spline, regularized), deep learning (word2vec, DeepWalk, wide & deep, transfer learning), ensemble methods (random forest, gradient boosting, stacking), factorization machines, and Apache Spark’s MLlib, depending on the use case. For deployment, I utilize a collection of other technologies such as Airflow, Jenkins, Kubernetes, MLflow, Spring Boot, Docker, and Git, among others. I am experienced in using Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Databricks. As an investor, I manage money by investing across global equities, bonds, commodities and foreign currencies. I focus on both strategic asset allocation and tactical asset allocation. For my non-crypto portfolio, I have achieved an annualized time-weighted total return of 8.48% since inception in July 2016. Academically, I am trained in Statistics and Finance at NUS and NTU, respectively. I am a Singapore citizen based in Singapore, fluent in both English and Mandarin.
