I am a corporate entrepreneur and executive who spent the last 15 years launching and scaling technology products and marketing in the US, China, and Asia. As the CEO of Nations Info Corp, I am responsible for helping our company focus and drive toward results. Prior to NIC, I was General Manager at Ebates where I owned multiple P&L lines. I was Ebates' first hire in Asia in 2013 and have built a 100 person organization from scratch. I grew revenue 7x and added over 2 million members in the first 4 years. Along the way, Ebates was acquired by Rakuten. Before Ebates, I was LivingSocialβs Director of Marketing, Asia where I helped the company expand the business to five countries in Asia, increase the user base by 250% with innovative marketing approaches, and establish LivingSocialβs leadership position across Asia region. Before that, I was Vice President of Marketing at Groupon China, where I co-founded the subsidiary, expanded to more than 70 cities, grew website traffic to the 2nd place among group buying websites in China, and managed a team of more than 30 people and a monthly budget of 2 million USD. Before coming to Asia, I spent time in management consulting, investment banking, and product management which gives me my well rounded perspective running a business unit for a global company. My family was business owners, farmers, and miners/dealers of rare stones and gems. Thanks to my parentsβ work, I was exposed to commerce at a young age and developed a strong interest in the mechanics of money. When I was 18, I won a scholarship to study in the United States, which was a dream come true. Through the teaching of this book, I understood the importance of the Definiteness of Purpose, Persistence, and Specialized knowledge. I began rethinking my career and got to work on a new plan. Being fascinated with how we do financial transactions, I got obsessed with Fintech and disruptive technologies like DLT and blockchain. At Processing.com, my role as Financial Controller wasn't just about crunching numbers. I spearheaded contract reforms post-Brexit with merchants and banks, slashing significant expenses within the EU zones. Later, as Payments Risk Manager at Nations Info, I lowered the company's risk profile and enhanced the billing engine's efficiency, elevating its success rate. πππππππ π ππππππ & ππππππππππ πππππ Iβve leveraged my versatility and risk management prowess to help launch several start-ups. As Controller at Iconic Hearts, I manage multiple business functions, including accounting, finance, HR, legal, operations and risk management.
